Dr. Nadia Mostovych is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon devoted exclusively to the face and neck. Known for her refined aesthetic sensibility and deeply personal approach to care, she combines exceptional surgical training with an artist’s eye and a physician’s depth of knowledge to deliver results that look natural, balanced, and enduring. For Dr. Mostovych, surgery is not about transformation for its own sake. It is about helping each patient become the most confident, authentic version of themselves.
Nadia Mostovych, MD
FACIAL PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
The Journey to Expertise
Years of focused training dedicated exclusively to the face and neck.
Dr. Mostovych’s path to facial plastic surgery was intentional from the start. Every step of her training was chosen with one goal in mind: to develop the deepest possible expertise in the anatomy, function, and aesthetics of the face and neck.
After completing her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Mostovych pursued a residency in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, one of the highest-volume programs in the country. The breadth and intensity of her surgical experience there was exceptional, and she graduated as Chief Resident, a distinction that reflected both her clinical excellence and her leadership within the program.
She then pursued one of the most competitive fellowships in facial plastic surgery, training under Dr. Devinder Mangat, former President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). This fellowship was as formative as it was rigorous. Dr. Mostovych trained alongside Dr. Mangat at two distinct boutique practices, one serving the Cincinnati area and one in the Vail Valley of Colorado, gaining a rare dual perspective on surgical excellence and private practice across different patient communities. More than advanced operative technique, this experience gave her insight into what it means to build a practice grounded in artistry, trust, and a genuinely patient-centered approach.
Artistry in Transformation
Enhancing natural beauty through precision, balance, and artistry.
Long before she performed her first surgery, Dr. Mostovych was drawn to the principles of beauty, balance, and form. As a competitive rhythmic gymnast, she developed an appreciation for precision, discipline, and movement. Her interest in photography further refined an artistic eye that continues to influence her work today. That early appreciation for form and proportion is now paired with years of rigorous surgical training and experience. Dr. Mostovych approaches every patient with the understanding that no two faces are alike. Rather than pursuing trends or applying a one-size-fits-all aesthetic, she carefully studies each individual’s facial anatomy, listens to their goals, and develops a treatment plan that respects their unique features and identity.
Her philosophy is rooted in refinement, balance, and natural-looking results that feel authentic to the person looking back in the mirror. Her background in facial reconstructive surgery has profoundly shaped this approach. Caring for patients affected by skin cancer, facial trauma, and congenital deformities has reinforced the understanding that the face is inseparable from identity, confidence, and quality of life. Whether performing reconstructive or cosmetic procedures, she recognizes that every decision carries both functional and emotional significance. For Dr. Mostovych, facial plastic surgery is not about changing who someone is. It is about helping patients feel more confident in themselves through thoughtful recommendations, meticulous technique, and results that are elegant, balanced, and authentically their own.
The Value of Dual Board Certification
Where form and function come together.
When patients choose a facial plastic surgeon, they deserve to understand what board certification actually means, and why it matters. Board certification in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery requires five years of intensive surgical training focused exclusively on the anatomy, physiology, and diseases of the face, head, and neck. During residency, surgeons develop a profound understanding of facial anatomy, facial nerve function, breathing and swallowing mechanics, wound healing, reconstruction, and the intricate relationship between facial form and function. This is not a broad surgical education. It is a deep, specialized one. Following residency, Dr. Mostovych completed a dedicated fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery before pursuing her second board certification in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. This certification is not automatically conferred upon fellowship completion.
Surgeons must pass both written and oral board examinations, complete a minimum of two years in independent practice, and submit a comprehensive case log of at least 100 facial plastic surgery procedures reviewed and approved by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Together, these credentials reflect something important: Dr. Mostovych does not simply understand what looks beautiful. She understands how facial anatomy, structural support, nerve function, and long-term healing all influence aesthetic outcomes. That knowledge informs every recommendation she makes, helping her achieve results that are not only beautiful and natural, but also safe, functional, and built to last.

A Commitment to Excellence
Advancing facial plastic surgery through education and lifelong learning.
Dr. Mostovych believes that exceptional surgeons never stop learning. She is an active contributor to the specialty she loves, having authored scientific publications, contributed to a textbook chapter on face and neck lift surgery, and presented her research at national meetings on the topics of rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and facial skin cancer reconstruction.

For Dr. Mostovych, continuing education is not a professional obligation. It is a commitment to her patients.
Giving Back
Restoring confidence through humanitarian service.
Some of the most formative experiences of Dr. Mostovych’s career took place far from an operating room in the United States. Since 2009, she has participated in multiple medical and surgical missions to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Belize, including ongoing work with World Pediatric Project and Partners for Belize, providing care for underserved communities and performing complex reconstructive surgeries for patients with congenital deformities, trauma, and cancer. Her time in Belize was particularly transformative. Working with patients who had limited access to care, she witnessed firsthand how restoring a face can restore far more than appearance.
It can restore dignity, identity, and the ability to move through the world with confidence. That understanding solidified her commitment to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and it continues to shape how she approaches every patient, regardless of whether the goal is reconstructive or cosmetic. Her humanitarian service has been recognized with the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery Foundation Humanitarian Travel Award.
Thoughtful, Personalized Care
Building lasting relationships through trust, education, and individualized care.
At the heart of Dr. Mostovych’s practice is a simple belief: patients deserve to feel genuinely heard, thoroughly informed, and completely confident before making any decision about their care.
Every consultation with Dr. Mostovych begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s goals, concerns, and circumstances, not because it is protocol, but because thoughtful recommendations require it. She believes that the best outcomes come from individualized plans, not one-size-fits-all approaches, and she will never recommend a procedure that is not genuinely in a patient’s best interest.
Her consultations are unhurried. Her communication is direct, honest, and clear. She makes it a priority to ensure that patients leave with a complete understanding of their options, realistic expectations, and the confidence to make decisions that are right for them, not decisions made under pressure or with incomplete information.
Dr. Mostovych remains directly accessible to her patients throughout every stage of their journey, from initial consultation through recovery and beyond. These are not transactional relationships. They are genuine ones, built on trust, transparency, and a shared investment in the very best outcome.
Beyond the Practice
Dr. Mostovych grew up in a close-knit Ukrainian-American family, and the values instilled in her during those years, hard work, perseverance, personal responsibility, and determination, continue to shape both her personal life and the way she cares for her patients.
As a competitive rhythmic gymnast in her youth, she developed a deep appreciation for artistry, the human body, and the kind of discipline that only comes from sustained dedication to a craft. She carried those lessons with her into medicine and surgery.
Today, she is deeply committed to health and wellness, including yoga and mindfulness, and believes that the well-being of both physicians and patients contributes to stronger relationships and better care. Her greatest joy is time spent with her husband and their three daughters.
